Baby girl… What has become of her! No one wants her! Not even the one who gave her birth! Why is this happening?? Just because the nation and the society thinks that “she” is a burden! Burden to be brought up, burden to get married off, and then the burden of taking care of her even after her marriage! Why doesn’t a nation or its people take men and women equally?? It is because we have accepted it that way!? No one wants to break the boundary. Everybody wants to play safe!
When young, I mean not married, people fight for the cause “Save the Girl Child” but what about when it comes to self!? “Are they still able to stand for the cause? No is the answer. Pressurized by the (in law) family, by the society for the want of the boy child to continue their family heritage et cetera, they also give in! What is there in the continuation of the family!? Gandhiji’s heir are here among us….but who cares for them….no one ……! (more…)

“Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness…” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them… God saw all that he had made, and it was very good…”

The latest buzz in the field of science, technology and particularly robotics is: Will machines overpower man?
Recently while watching NDTV, I saw about robots possessing human emotions of “love” being created! The highlighted question was: Now that the robots are being advanced to the extent of being capable of expressing human emotions, along with superpower, strength and intellect, will robots replace humans?
So man does seem a bit bothered about whether machines will overpower and replace him. Ironic as it is, the existence of man is under question, and that too by his own creation! (Can I take the liberty to imagine God saying, “Now man will know how it feels.”) (more…)

Hey Gigibhai your blog on the act of forgiving (Priyanka Gandhi forgiving to forget), is what inspired me to write this sequel. Thanks for that blog it was very touching and very well written …
Evil, can never be fought and won, evil has to meet its equal or more powerful rival, before it can be (eradicated) stopped. Evil was the act of bombing and victims were those who experienced the loss.

The effect of every evil deed continues even after the actual crime is over, as evil would continue to haunt and terrorize the victim by bringing in painful memories, hatred, vengeance etc.. Even though the victim of a crime may come to terms with the pain and loss, evil at every step will continue to victimize the victim ! (more…)

The title caught my sleepy eye’s attention early morning as I was on the train from Mumbai. “My sins have been cleansed: Nalini”. Three consecutive ‘less-sleep’ nights and long days of work were taking a toll on me physically but I just could not quell my curiosity after seeing the title. I just waited for my co-passenger to finish reading the newspaper so that I can get a hold of it.
As I went through the article, I understood that it was about the visit which Ms. Priyanka Vadra (D/o late Indian Prime Minister Mr. Rajiv Gandhi) paid to Ms. Nalini who is serving a life term for involvement in Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination. (more…)

6.10 am, Bodeli, Gujarat. A state transport bus carrying approximately 50 people is travelling towards Dabhoi. Out of the total passengers about 45 are school children going to give their final exam.
6.15 am, the bus reaches the Narmada Canal overbridge and tries to overtake a truck that is already almost there on the bridge and so he speeds up.
6.15 am, Right front wheel of the bus hits the foot-path on the bridge at great speed, snapping a thick metal rod connecting the two front wheels and the steering wheel. The wheels froze at the angle at which it hit the foot path. With the connection between the wheels and the steering rod snapped, the driver had no control over the bus anymore. He was not a driver anymore, just a mere spectator, albeit for a few seconds more! The bus jumped the foot path, burst through the concerete railings and plunged 60 feet into the canal. (more…)

Husband alleges that wife doesn’t wear modern clothes.
Another alleges that wife doesn’t have table manners. Still another felt that his wife didn’t gel well with his colleagues. Another alleged that wife refused to drink in some of the office parties. Another liked someone else after marriage and started finding faults in his wife. One husband was angry because she got out of bed late and didn’t make him the morning tea to sip along with his newspaper. A more enterprising husband felt that his wife didn’t experiment while love making! A wife suspects her husband of seeing someone else due to coming late from office everyday. Another feels that it is not right for her alone to do all the household chores, afterall, she is working too. Another feels that because she washes his inner wear, he should wash her inner wears too! Many other wives do not want to stay with their in-laws. Some are not happy because he gets angry and shouts.
