I saw them in a Japanese cartoon Princess Mononoke back in 2001
The similarity is undeniable at first look... but then the zoozoo has far far too cute and way more personality

There are many things that we like and dislike but rarely do we bother to think why we like what we like or why we don't like what we don't. On the face of the matter, it can not be and is not just the face value that appeals to us.

When we make an ad (radio jingle, TVC or print ad)..its not just about looking great or feel good factors..its not about making an ad with great visuals, photographs, intelligent copy used..etc....its the mind, the psyche of the target audience that is being tapped and hit upon. And unless the common man rises up to think and analyze his/ her own decisions and choices that they make based on what they see or hear, the Zoozoos will keep calling the shots !

ERRATA:
1,87,265 fans on the official Zoozoo fan site on Facebook and continuously growing!

Dear Harold:
What is trivial or what is relevant/considerable is subjective! What is trivial to you maybe considerable to me, and vice versa and we can always continue to tell each other that things are otherwise!! Trivial or considerable, Zoozoos have pervaded the lives of many and Vodafone will rub it in into the audiences in various formats till they find out there is nothing more that Zoozoo can offer!

Blogs certainly are not the places to create definitive social upheavals and changes. They are just a place to express an opinion (at passenger, mail or express speeds)! I am only trying to see if there are deeper reasons to why the Zoozoo world is appealing not just to the kids but to a wide cross section of people. We humans exhibit patterns of behavior (that's why we have a field called behavioral science!). You won't believe, but the effect of advertisements, compliance etc is a very big subject in study of human psychology. Ads definitely have the potential to create an impact that untrained eyes will miss. Zoozoos will make you happy, Zoozoos will make you smile are things that reveal the level of influence Zoozoos already have.

Its very easy to smile it off. Everyone is doing it. I thought otherwise. Thanks for your comments. Be Good.

This is from one zoozoo to another: Do we have the power to make things trivial if they are trivial indeed and simultaneously can we also make them seem so relevant if we want to!?

I think forums, blogs, television channels have only provided legitimacy to things that in the realm of a normal individual is supposed to be overlooked and be let to pass by, but all of us have now become "expression expresses"! We continue to express our opinions on things that matter and also on things that don't!

I mean let's all learn something from our parents who raised us in a different environment. I never remember my father wanting to comment on every political issue from the turbulent 80's that took place or even news channels, days when we were OK catching the morning news at 8 am and the evening one at 7 pm and that's where lies the problem that none of us want to do the same things the same way our folks used to considering it obsolete.

Ironically we use the same forums, the same networks(that are the very problems in the first place) to raise something that's so trivial! The truth is - these are cultivated communities that not necessarily have brought together people who have something in common!

I usually do not blog but I happened to read your blog and I couldn't resist the urge! Your point of we shifting to individualistic tendencies is quite a valid and serious one and I guess that is exactly what we need to work towards - community building in a country that is home to a myriad of communities!

We cannot advocate for any issue until and unless we do it under the same umbrella and with a similar set of people who are working towards the same goal! Well written Geo!!

I was recentlydiscussing with one of my friends about a topic "what we beleive is our god". He was of the opinion that some things we just do because our heart feels that way. ANd this you'll find majority in case of God. People say we can not think and come to a conclusion about God. But the hard fact is to make such a statement also you're using your brains. Ravi Zacharia says "What you beleive in your heart, should make sense in my mind". Its time that we spent time and not resort to short cuts or "simple ways".

The escape to virtual reality is not a new route: People have been playing the game Second Life by Linden Labs for ages. I found it interesting that people have gone to such lows that they resorted to "virtual sex" and the story didn't end with that...they were caught 'cheating' by their partners and..ta-dah!...Divorce!
