GOD’s masterpiece
By: Pooja (April 4th, 2008)Dowry, Abuse for money, Harassment by husbands and in-laws to satisfy the greedy hearts, Beaten up for property, Left by the husband for not being gifted with costly enough gifts by her parents, Threatened at gun point for money…so on and so forth. Even today in this educated society of ours, these are the cases that flood “the case files” in every police station and the numbers never decreases. My father being a cop has been dealing with various cases, majority being on the issue of disturbed family relations, and even more, disturbed marriages. I remember the last time I was home for a vacation and went thru a few case files which were overflowing with complains of the wives and the daughter-in-laws pleading for justice and it was no different the next time I looked thru the case files. It all makes me feel as if, what we call the “institution of marriage” has reduced to a “market place” and people are reduced to “objects” or “commodities”. The higher the price you pay to sell your commodity, the better she is taken care of and if not, she will be turned to ruins in this educated sophisticated society of ours where I thought dowry was a crime.
The best creation of God, the human being, who has invented and discovered great wonders in the world, is now reduced to nothing more than a commodity. What made this transformation? Is a life cheaper than money? Aren’t we all ready to pay as much as it takes to save our own lives from some disastrous disease or to save the lives of our loved ones too? When an aircraft crashes, what they try to save is the lives of the passengers and pilots rather than the very costly planes. Is money a replacement for people? Isn’t it a sad scenario? Do we educate ourselves just to be an educated criminal? Is education at all a solution? Is money the solution? Where are we heading and what should we look forward to?
Out of the heart comes every evil, right from thoughts to deeds. The mind is just an instrument. Therefore education cannot change us, nor can it save us. It’s the heart that needs to be transformed. It doesn’t happen in the operation theatre in some surgery. It does not happen by enlightening ourselves with the knowledge of right and wrong. Every a culprit knows he has done wrong whether he admits it or not. We cannot transform the heart by doing good deeds which can be good in our view and bad in someone else’s views.
Our corrupt hearts can only be transformed in the hands of the Perfect One, the creator of that heart. Only the designer knows the exact fault in the product he has designed and only He can do the rightful to mend it. A product by itself can do nothing. So let’s seek the creator and give our corrupt and dirty hearts in His safe and loving hands that will take away the heart of stone and give us a new heart of flesh and blood. A fresh heart, A pure heart, A sensitive heart, A humanly heart which will help us become humans and see and treat others also as precious priceless humans, the treasured possession of our creator, HIS MASTERPIECE!! God bless.

You rightly said it Pooja… Education can give us some intellectual knowledge, but it will never go down to our heart…Its like you need a hammer to nail the nails , a pillow cant hammer the nails.
The renewal of our heart can come from our creator when we knock at his door..The door called “JESUS”

No social problem could be solved by only education system, and money can never help to buy a solution. Riots, wars or terrorism and social problems such as dowry, wife beating or mentally harassment are the products of today’s education system. I don’t intend to blame education; I want to draw attention on the system. Education never gives birth to the educated criminals. So don’t you feel, utilizing education in human lives is useful only when perceived through GOD’s knowledge not just the system?
