Most people lie thinking that it is less harmful and why not do it if it is for a greater good ! We think that way because we see things only from a human perspective. But God who put this law in our heart says that for HIM a lie or a murder are equally gruesome and deserves only death. Becuase to HIM it was the origin of the wrong that mattered. The origin of every wrong is in our hearts and it is the condition of the heart that matters to HIM. It is in our hearts where we decide to disobey or rebel against God (the original SIN), the rest is just a question of how it gets manifested outside. That is why Jesus said 'But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart'. So we sin in our hearts, the core of our beings and that is who we really are.And it really takes a lot of guts and boldness to expose that area of our lives to others, unless we really are right with God in our hearts. And it really pays to come clean by confessing those to God himself because he can help you in correcting it. Even that can be so easily commercialised and trivialised in to a public spectacle for a few dollars. Once gain the wretched heart ! Santosh,great blog !
