Hey Gigibhai your blog on the act of forgiving (Priyanka Gandhi forgiving to forget), is what inspired me to write this sequel. Thanks for that blog it was very touching and very well written …
Evil, can never be fought and won, evil has to meet its equal or more powerful rival, before it can be (eradicated) stopped. Evil was the act of bombing and victims were those who experienced the loss.

The effect of every evil deed continues even after the actual crime is over, as evil would continue to haunt and terrorize the victim by bringing in painful memories, hatred, vengeance etc.. Even though the victim of a crime may come to terms with the pain and loss, evil at every step will continue to victimize the victim ! (more…)

The Times Group had outclassed rivals at the Abby Nite in Mumbai— powered by a brilliant ad campaign done by Grey Worldwide, centered around saving the girl child, which appeared in The Times of India, Ahmedabad edition, in October-November 2006. With five golds and one silver, the ‘Jaago Gujarat’ campaign was a clear winner in the category of Public Service Advertising at the Ad Club of Mumbai’s 40th Abby Awards function at Royal Turf Club.
The Times of India, Ahmedabad edition’s ‘Jaago Gujarat-Save the Girl Child’ campaign, one of the most successful and long-running examples of positive activism for a social cause, also swept the UNFPA-Laadli Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity 2006-07. In the western region awards, TOI-Ahmedabad won the award for the “Best Campaign on the issue of Sex Selection by a Media Group.” Special correspondent Radha Sharma, who spearheaded the campaign, bagged the award for best reporting in the category of ‘News Features-Print Media in English Newspapers’. Advertising agency Grey Worldwide bagged an award for the ‘Best Public Service Advertisement in Print’ for the advertisement campaign around the girl child issue in TOI-Ahmedabad.
Some campaign! Everyone bagged something or the other! (more…)

Becoming a rage is small towns and cities across India, is a new surgical correction procedure called Hymenorrhaphy.
Hymenorrhaphy or hymen reconstruction surgery is the surgical restoration of the hymen. The term
comes from the Greek words hymen meaning ‘membrane’, and raphe meaning ’suture’. It is also known as Hymenoplasty, although strictly this term would also include hymenotomy.
Such procedures are not generally regarded as part of mainstream gynecology, but are available from some plastic surgery centres, particularly in the USA, Japan and Western Europe, and now India, generally as ‘day surgery’. The normal aim is to cause bleeding during post-nuptual intercourse, which in some cultures, like India, is a required (well almost) proof of virginity.
In Ahmedabad, it takes just Rs.10000/- to restore the hymen and thus a woman’s virginity! (more…)

In today’s Times of India, Nokia the mobile giant has released an ad in the front page for their new handset “6110 Navigator”. The punch line of the ad is “LET’S NEVER GET LOST AGAIN”.

I believe the ad is highlighting two things.
a) The GPS feature of the handset and most importantly
b) Its also highlighting the human being’s vaccum in his heart that says to him sometimes or always that he’s lost in this world and this handset will fill that void and in turn will give the individual a high that says yes, “Now I can never get lost”. (more…)

I was reading in an English daily how Coca Cola had come out of the blues with it’s new CEO at the helm and how they have come out of the Dipping sales and profits with the focused approach on aggressive marketing of it’s product ! Also how it’s Coke Zero brand, primarily targeted at the youths is planned to change the dynamics of the company!
Another article said how the new generation was focused on getting it picture perfect and zero flab when it comes to their bodies and how the models across the world are thinning down to the extent, you will be excused to think that they are representing Somalia or some other drought effected country! Although there are many activists crying foul against this gross neglect of their health, but nothing so far deters them from being the best in their modeling careers! Jo diktha hai wahi biktha hai (What is seen, gets sold) goes the old saying for many marketing professionals but that stands true for the generation today. (more…)

A 15 year old girl, studying in Class XI, went to the toilet. Plunk!! Now this looks gross? Read on!! When she was through, she realised, she had plunked a 3kg healthy baby boy in the toilet bowl!!! Now what is that!!? That is Gross.
Neither the girl nor her parents nor any of her pokey neighbours nor even her over-advising relatives could detect that the bulge was not because she was becoming plump but because there was a little human being developing inside her. (more…)

It has become more dangerous to move on the main roads, let alone the lanes and bylanes, of the suburbs of the financial hub of our nation, Mumbai. There is no police patrolling these area and even if you call them, they come a good half an hour later!
The reason: they are stationed at “bars” across the city! Why? They are ensuring that all waitresses go home by 9.30pm! And after that? Orchestra performances go on till 1.30am, and so the police have to stay back till almost 3am at these places, to ensure that the waitresses don’t return to work!! (more…)
