True Strength and Glory!

The prosperous state of Gujarat has an ambassador now. A brand ambassador who will become the face of the state henceforth. It is none other than “Big B”, Amitabh Bachchan, and ever since he came to the state a few days ago for photo and video shoots at different locales of this state, every move of his has been reported by the media, including what he blogs and tweets about his experience everyday!
Mr. Bachchan too has been creatively churning out impromptu slogans and jingles. Actually, some of his observations are quite insightful. Posted on one of his blogs: “What a magnificent country we own. And it is only when you visit these places yourself do you realise that it’s not just the greatness of the domain that makes this land so wonderful and blessed, it is the man on the street, the commoner that gives this nation its strength and its glory!” I say, “Awesome insight”!
Howmuchsoever great, awe-inspiring and overwhelming every place around us and things around us maybe, yet there is something about us, humans, that extends beyond what everything else individually or together portray! Something that’s more than beauty, more than what only the senses can detect. Something that is more deeper and more inane and inherent.

It is the potential (both latent and apparent) that we individually or even as a community contain that makes us unique and unrivaled vis-s-vis everything else. We can infact make all these places and things more beautiful or for that matter destroy the magnificence of it if we decide so! So where does that put us? There is something that even the ‘man on the street’ (the least of us) contributes to make a sum that Mr.Bachchan so insightfully refers to. A strength and glory that transpires that of everything else!
If we think with an open mind, isn’t this quality of ours a reflection of what a Creator of all these things would portray! So it does seem we are His image and likeness (albeit corrupted)!
It goes on to speak that man matters the most, also because his decisions seal the fate of the rest. A direct deduction would be that relationships matter much more that everything else we otherwise give importance too. Another deduction would be that character, grit, determination, integrity, compassion, empathy and a host of such unseen attributes and virtues count more than our degrees, success, fame, wealth et cetera that we continually run after! Relationships are our strength and our character, our glory.

A time to reflect on what truly is our strength and glory! Thanks Mr.Bachchan.

I together with my pals came taking note of the best tips and hints on your site while suddenly got a horrible feeling I had not expressed respect to the web blog owner for them. Those boys are already very interested to study all of them and have sincerely been enjoying those things. Appreciation for actually being really thoughtful and then for considering such marvelous issues most people are really desperate to know about. Our own sincere regret for not expressing gratitude to you sooner.
